    Right okay. These things are annoying me now >_<

    At the System Tray, the things I circled are things I think I don't need but don't know how to get rid of them from the system tray >_<.

    Its the thing at the bottom right, the PC with an "X" and the Microphone type thing. I dunno if I need them or not but I presume I don't however I don't know how to get rid of them :|.

    Theres also a few things I dunno what are here:

    I wanna get rid of:

    Apache.exe - as I don't know what it is
    CCEVTMGR.EXE - as theres two and takes up a lot of memory for a seemingly pointless cause :|
    SNDsrvc.exe - dunno what it is and looks dodgey :|
    CCAPP.exe - Dunno what it is:|
    SPBBCvc.exe - dunno what it is and it seems new :|

    Thats all man :|

    I've tried HiJack this but it ain't workin for me :|

    I've tried ending the process tree but they jst come back up >_<

    Anyone know How I can get rid of them ?:|

    Thanks for reading man (Y)

    you have apache on your computer?
    what for?
    It's a web server thingy.
    If it is not in add/remove programs (it should be), then remove it in services.msc (right click 'apache web server'>click properties>click stop>startup type set to disabled).

    I can't find anything about spbbcvc.exe. post the hijackthis log or go to hijackthis.de and paste it then click analyse.

    for the system tray icons:

    the speaker one:go to control panel>sounds and audio devices>uncheck "place volume icon in the taskbar">apply

    for network icon:

    go to control panel>network connection>right click the network connection with an X over it and click on disable.

    for any other system tray icons you would like to hide just right click on the task bar>go to properties>click customize>and on whatever entry you want to hide click it then set the behavior to "always hide"

    hope that info helps.

    apache is for a firewall..... i have it too.

    As for the icons in the tray. the one with the cross is tell you that one of your internet connections has been unplugged, And the mic lookalike is your sounds options.

    To get rid of them.....

    cross one;

    go to control panel, or double click it. And open up network connections. Right click on the one you are not using and disable it. If you hover your mouse over the icon, it will popup a little message to tell you which one thats unplugged. You have that there because you probably have 2 LAN ports on your motherboard and you are only using 1.

    Sound icon;

    go to control panel again and open sound options. Uncheck the box thats says place system volume icon in tray.

    And that should be them gone hopefully

    Uhh i think its a ASUS Socket 794 Mother board. Somehting like that. And I just deleted the "Apache" Folder :|

    Do I need it? Coz I already have a Zone Alarm fire wall and dont see the point in running two firewalls at once :S
