Oh my god.. How could you call it curiosity to watch a site like Rotten.com? Do you really think that anyone would deliberately stop at a site and watch injured people? Oh well.. 

I am no fan of sites like this. But you are mistaken as to the nature of man, and all those weird psychology experiments show pretty scary stuff about what people will do and why they do it.

Would you have gone to a public execution just for the fun of it?

Would you have gone to the Colosseum to watch men fight to the death?

Have you ever watched the manner in which people will stop and congregate at the scene of a car accident and watch what transpires. I don't mean to say that they get some thrill out of watching injured people. Clearly I would like to think not. However their presence isn't necessarily required to save a persons' life who is injured.

A person has a greater chance of surviving an encounter with a rapist or other violent offender if they shout "fire" and there have been many instances where many people have passively looked on whilst watching a victim cry for help. They don't wish to become involved.
