I have a shortcut on my desktop to my download folder and for some reason when I try to use it,it "stops responding"..anyone any ideas as to why,I have to use the task manager to close it then.

I have a shortcut on my desktop to my download folder and for some reason when I try to use it,it "stops responding"..anyone any ideas as to why,I have to use the task manager to close it then.

have you tried making a new shortcut.
It could also be an errorneous avi which explorer cant handle and is hence doing over drive.
