I use EAC (with lame output) as said in the pinned method.
Sometimes EAC wont read my cd's, then i use my second app,
and that is Steinberg's WaveLab 4, can be found in the market (kazaa)
Wavelab uses Lame too but dont have the option to
get tags from the net. And filenames are "Track--.mp3" , otherwise good quality but
    requires too much typing.
I have used WinMediaPlyer once to make a mp3, just once, that was all it needed.
Now i use MediaPlayer sometimes to check cd info, pics, tags etc.

Thanks for all the help guys! Ive finally got EAC ripping and converting at a decent speed. Everything seems fine but I'm not entirelt sure I want to be using VBR anymore after one of the posts in this topic suggested that some CD players may have trouble reading them.

Anyone know how I can get EAC to encode at a constant bit rate? Ive been through the menus but can't find it anywhere!

    Thanks for the help guys.
