Converting APE to mp3.???

Whats the beat way to go about converting ape files to mp3.

I`m looking for the easiest and the bestest way.

the simplest way for me is to use winamp with the LAME output plugin
but why convert them to a lossy format?

i have a question too: how do i burn APE into a CD...as audio cd?

@ effy - dbpoweramp, and I used to decompress to .wav then encode to .mp3

dont remember if I did that out of necessity or plain ole stubborness though

have you tried the monkey's audio web site for ideas?
if not, then, I think the dbpoweramp cd writer does it
(with the monkey's audio codec installed of course)
