After quite a long absence, I need to get back to IRC....

Are there any decent alternatives to MIRC out and about as I'm not it's biggest fan.....

I've had a look at the usual locations (tucows etc), but irrespective of how good something appears to be on it's website, you can't beat user comments from here

    Alternative IRC programs.....

As I said, I'm not a fan of MIRC and wonder if anyone on here uses anything apart from it for IRC.....

I use Trillian Pro 2..works fine for me.
Trillian 3 removed all the Right Click Options out of IRC.

I used to use it quite a few years ago and didn't really get on with it.... had a quick play with the latest version but would like to see what else is out there...

Any opinions of Icechat or Visual IRC ?

Looked at both Trillion and Chatzilla, But I'd like a standalone client so that rules out Chatzilla and Trillion didn't appeal....

I liked mIRC, because I've customized it so much so it pretty much suits my needs
