These optical illutions are great. I still don&#39;t believe that A and B are the same shade of gray. Are the two squares the same shade, or just the letters?

The squares are identical in grey shades, not the lettering.

Use a paint program and capture a section of grey from one block then paste (or drag) that section to the other. They are exactly the same shade.

Or

Use a paint program that can capture colors (and display RGB values) from an image. Compare the colors.

The RGB vales for both boxes are:

Red=107
Green=101
Blue =107

Yeah, I just put the colors right next to eachother and they are the same. I would have never thought that they were the same color.
