Just a quick question here hopefully. I want to buy a video card that is advertised as AGP 8X. I'm pretty sure my motherboard is limited to AGP 4X. Will the card work?

Well, actually AGP 8x won't be noticebly faster as AGP 4x. Read this article
But I agree with Nottingham_Forest FC, that a combination of a agp 8x motherboard and video card is the best option for the future.
And as an added bonus, the agp 8x revisions of the Geforce4 Ti series run at a higher memory clockspeed, so they should be faster than their agp 4x counterparts.
