    DVI is Digital Video Interface which is for flat-panel monitors with a suitable connection. It saves having to convert the signal into analogue only to have it converted back to digital in the monitor.

    Thre are some suitable cables here, depending on the distance to your tv.

    Once you've connected it up you will have to go to your display settings to enable the tv-out port. You can't enable it until it detects the connection.

    Don't forget that's video only, if you want audio too you'll have to take a connection from your audio ports to your tv. The output is standard 3.5mm stereo jack, but the input depends on your tv.

    i really dont understand the part about the audio, do i just get a cable in the audio out port of my pc and then into the audio port of the tv??

    Yes. It goes to the audio in port of the TV
