ok my windows xp pro defrag wont work anymore, does anyone know which files run the program so i can replace them. Dont wont to reload windows again, any help given i thank you for it.

sfc /scannow in the run box might do it. If it asks you to put in the cd, do it.

Yes, and also make sure that you have your windows XP cd in the drive (altho i think it asks for it if it needs it
Did you type it right ? sfc"space"/scannow ?).
go it to run but it didnt fix the problem. defrag opens up just wont work must be a file missing

you've got to re-register the appropriate dll's
