Why not use another defrag program? There are many out there that can be faster, and better at defragmenting your computer.

Does XP even attempt to analyze your partitions before presenting you the option to defrag?


Quite simply, XP will take no action unless it believes it needs to.



It sounds dumb, so my apologies... I am just emliminating all the possibilities before going to extremes.
