Now, I&#39;m positive that Jim can defend himself. But he&#39;s correct. These "who&#39;s the hottest" threads are generally sexist, but this "who&#39;s the hottest Asian" also combines racism.

I bet I couldn&#39;t start a thread called "Who&#39;s the hottest white chick" and not get severely burnt. Nor would I want to.

Most women don&#39;t like to be judged on the sum of their parts. Most men don&#39;t either, but it&#39;s not nearly as prevalent as the way society views women.

I realize that there are going to be threads like this. It&#39;s unfortunate, and I wish there wasn&#39;t. People don&#39;t deserved to be judged by looks alone.

These threads are a huge waste of bandwidth, but this isn&#39;t racism. It is very easy for affirmative action supporters to label it that way, but its really not. Hottest Asian? Its not racist, but it is a stereotype, and a very good one. We, as humans, put labels on things such as tall, short, white, black, male, female, etc.. and we do this because it is a clear and definitive way to describe differences in appearance. That&#39;s it, nothing more, nothing less. No one is being oppressed here. Please take this racist bullshit somewhere else.

I think everyone here knows what discriminating means. If not, there are wonderful dictionaries to help you out.
