oh yeah. on-topic. i'd have no problem with going to isreal on holiday. if i was going to the middle-east on holiday i'd rather go to somewhere that looks less like europe or america though

I could say something like.

I am sure Israel has much to offer, however whilst I still percieve it as being dangerous for my family and I to visit I will choose to visit other places. There are plenty places to see where I would be more able to relax and enjoy the culture.

I could add that you may be perfectly comfortable with the current situation. However most other people aren't used to the overt security which you obviously need. That it acts as a constant reminder of the troubles in your region.

I could end by suggesting that a cessation of hostilities is in everyone's interests. The tourist money alone should encourage you (both) to compromise. To say nothing of your quality of life.

Compromise mate, it's the only way.

I'll probably never go to Israel.
I want to go somewhere to have fun, get pissy drunk and relax in the sun.

Maybe I'll hit Mexico. Puerto Vallarta, Casamel, Acupulco, Cancoun........

Not being of any of the three religions that are interested, there is little Israel has to offer me, that i cant get cheaper and better elswhere.

There are places in the Middle East I would be interested in visiting sometime such as Egypt... but that'll have to wait upon my Lottery Win.

As i said earlier, its not the fear of "terrorist attack", as i imagine that your more likely to get hit by a drunk driver even in Israel. However the armed guards all over the place would put me off.
