The reason Britain refuses to take part in the Olympics is so as not to set a precedent, and lose their four places.
This begs the question; in the event of a united Europe as a single state, would they then be entitled to only one team? The USA has 50 states, what if they all wanted their own team, like Europe?
Didn't Great Britain compete in the last London Olympics (at puntsphere obviously).
