[news=http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/261/macromedia5se.gif]Macromedia Inc. Monday announced Macromedia Studio 8, the new version of its suite for Web designers, video professionals and graphic artists to design, develop and maintain interactive online applications and content. Macromedia Studio 8 is the first release of the San Francisco company's Studio suite since 2003, said Jim Guerard, vice president of product management for the tools business at Macromedia.

Macromedia Studio 8 features the latest releases of Macromedia Flash Professional, Dreamweaver and Fireworks, as well as Contribute and FlashPaper. The new release improves workflow features and includes new video encoding tools, new CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) enhancements, visual authoring tools for XML, and new tools for authoring and testing mobile content, Guerard said.

Doesn't really look like Fireworks is the correct tool for a Web Developer

Well, DW doesn't code my PHP so I believe I can disregard that comment.
In fact, I never use any of the auto-generation tools in DW even if I code HTML. I just use it because it can clean up XHTML and warn me about errors easier.
Then again, you strike me as the kind of guy who would rather do everything the hardest way and believe that anyone who uses any form of visual help is a n00b coder, so continuing this is pointless.
