1) serial ATA uses small cables - little thin ones and not the nice bigg ribbon cables that Parrelle ATA (UDMA 133 etc) uses
2) S-ATA will soon reach 320 (probably just after SCSI jumps up from it's current speed), and is aimed at disks in low end workstation, although some severs will likely use it due to it's hot-swapability and relative cheapness
