i have some questions about emule.
1. is the dl speed any faster or slower than k-lite?
2.do any of the files get corrupted.
3.can i find rare stuff on emule i.e 3ds studio max?

1.Slower because is not a descentralized network like Fastrack
2.Never you can get corrupted files on EMULE

K, try to remember this is a forum about k-lite principally. we have sections for discussing other topics, other peer to peer programs etc.

1. individual slower, but download a lot at once will get the same speeds as klite. For me anyway.
2. You get corrupted parts, but these will be downloaded again so the final product is corrupt free, as long as the original started off corrupt free.
3. aye, has a lot more rare stuff than kazaa.

FastTrack is NOT decentralised, it is semi-decentralised, it uses encrypted transmissions and KaZaA Lite could get booted off the network by Sharman Networks.
eMule is server-based, but it is still efficient, but downloads can be quite slow. eMule has I.C.H. (Intelligent Corruption Handling) and along with IPFilter.DAT, files don't get corrupted. The eDonkey2000 network (which eMule connects to) has the rarest stuff, more so than BitTorrent.

well i managed to get some rare electronic music of it and it was of high quality ! connections slow though !
