What does the signal strength meter show?
I don't think that wireless will slow down your internet connection but it slows down your local network.
What exactly is slow for you?
quality:45%
strength:around 65-70%
slow is 0.01Kb-20Kb at the most when i have cable conection

Are you referring to Kazaalite download speeds ?Originally posted by mooseman2070@19 December 2003 - 23:30

and whats ur regular speed with the other computer?
i have 2 computers on my connection.....with just a crossover cable and 2 nic's on my computer....
the other computer gets all the speed mine gets.... in mine i use 200/2000, the other has 1800 to use....
dont know how much speed can ur wireless network hold, but the network can hold AT LEAST 10mbps....which is quite enuff since a 10mbps is a GOOD broadband connn
the central comp gets speeds of 50-300, the other comp, usb card, gets speeds of 60-150

I'm pretty sure that wireless networks disconnect if they can't maintain a speed of about 10% of maximum. So even if you've only got a 11MB/sec net that's still going to be twice your download speed (assuming you've got 512k broadband). That shouldn't be a problem.
.Political correctness is based on the principle that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
my point exactly....however he is using a router.....not precisely a network....
my advice would just make a network and let windows handle the connection sharing...
yeah thats what were trying to do, i think i may be on a network, not sure, because i always get dissconnected for a sec then get back on
