This is very important news.
I never celebrate any of the traditionals(christmas, easter, etc), because their
background is not mine.
But from now on jan. 23 will be on my agenda!!!
If anyone has more of these foodfestive anniversary's, please post them!!
My tip for PieDay is:
PecanPie!!
Ingredients:
3 slightly beaten eggs
1 cup white Karo
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
1 cup pecans (you can add more, I always do)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 unbaked deep dish pie crust
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preheat Oven to 450 degrees
Combine all ingredients, adding pecans last
Pour into unbaked pie crust
Bake 10 minutes
Reduce heat to 350°
Continue baking until a knife inserted in center comes out clean
