i used to think it would be impossible for us to pull out of iraq because there would be civil war. but then i start reading stuff like british forces disguised as arabs get caught wheeling a car bomb around and al-zarqawi actually died over two years ago. could iraq control itself if we weren't instigating the civil war that's keeping us there

Most of the unrest appears to be caused by insurgents that have come in from other countries, not native Iraqi's.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what's going on, but even though I didn't agree with the war, to pull out now is like doing half a job - We need to see it through to some kind of satisfactory conclusion, otherwise I believe they're going to be left in a real REAL mess.

Worse than a civil war, I'm thinking a mixture of Somalia and Rwanda..

However, if the Iraqi authorities want us to pull out, then we should. Do they?

When the British raid an Iraqi jail, because they are holding 2 British Soldiers that shot at Iraqi police and were involved in Bombs etc...

Are you surprised the Iraqi's are a little pissed off?

I wonder how many other coalition teams are actually instigating the trouble?

It's almost as if we want to keep the place unstable, so that the west controls the Oil Revenues, doesnt it?

The Civil War will happen whether we are there or not... the only thing thats stopped it since the end of the British Occupation was a succesion of Bastards, and thats the only thing that will stop it now.

Its a False country made up by the Brits, to include populations that hated each other...

Divide and Conquer, thats how a little Island held a huge Empire.. get the populations too busy fighting themselves and they'd leave us to pick the place clean.

I was (and still am to some extent) against the war, no matter how much you say Saddam should have been removed, you are just avoiding the real question of whether or not it's a just war (hey if you wanna arrest a murderer, why not invade North Korea too? Oh that's right, nothing of value there ). But as of right now, I am for an occupation force in Iraq. I thought I'd never say this, but Canada should get involved too. To pull out now would be just stupid, and even a hard-core liberal should realize that (i'm not a hard core liberal ). The country would be way too unstable if the US and Britain were to pull out now.

The US can do what it did in Vietnam, another country it would never give up on, it can claim to have sufficiently trained the Iraqi Army, then run like fuck before the shit hits the fan.

Iran is quite happy the way things are going vis a vis the elections. They'll have a neighbour with the same religious views.

If you're talking about the arms the insurgents are using... Iran is not the only place they can come from.

Thought the PMs quote rather funny though:

"There is no need for any country to meddle in Iraq".. say again?

Does that mean we're getting the fluck outa there?
