Woa, maybe it's called "The very large statue"? ;-)
Soz I can't be more specific, just couldn't help but comment about how large it is, must have taken a while to build!?
I'll do a search and if I find out what it's called i'll let you know :-)
Sniper.
EDIT : Found it - The Corcovado Mountain & its Christ Statue
EDIT 2 : No, bigboab, not fair, you beat me to it!! lol ;-P Oh well, perhap's next time :-)
LAST EDIT : Ok, removing link as it's useless compaired to bigboab's info, plus it could be classed as promotion. :-)
Built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa and inaugurated on October 12 1931 the Statue of Christ the Redeemer stands 710m above sea level on top of Corcovado Mountain overlooking Rio de Janeiro. The entire monument is 38m high with the statue accounting for 30m the span from finger tip to fingertip is 28m and there is a small chapel housed in the base. As a vantage point it offers unbeatable views of downtown Rio, the bay, Sugarloaf Mountain and Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches.
The best way to keep a secret:- Tell everyone not to tell anyone.
thanks Boab
