    Has anyone used this?

A friend has asked me about it, I did google but did'nt come up with much, she installed it and Pest Patrol picked up 18 bad files. I know Kazaa is picked up by PP but I know the prog.
Just wondering if anyone knows about Bearware so I can either give her the all clear or get it out of her puter.

    Any help greatfully received

    Do you mean Bearshare?

I've never heard of Bearware, but I know Bearshare has adware with it.

She said Bearware, but possible she got it wrong.

Hmm dunno about that then, maybe the adware is removable without affecting the prog, unlike Kazaa.

With Bearshare you can uninstall the spyware and it will still work.

    Or download the lite version:

Bearshare uses the gnutella network so you can use any client that runs on that. Chose one without spyware.

I used to be a big fan of XoloX before I started using Kazzalite (which I no longer use).
