I am in need of a dvd burner, but i own a laptop which means i can't use any internal ones yet. So, does anyone have any knowledge of good external dvd burners? USB or Firewire are ok.

Just get a normal internal. Then pick up one of these.

Its not at all.
Open the casing, pop the hdd in, then close it. Plus the USB 2.0 cable into the back and then into the pc.
