i am having the same problem. i have updated all my drivers. checked everything several times. even gotten two different torrents. it locks up in the 2nd to last red dot on the d.mcnabb screen before the menu loads. i have only dt and have tried alcahol, to the same thing. took it back off and again have the current version on daemon, seems like i have tried everything, if you can help please do....Originally Posted by pimo1

i found a forum where someone had the same problem, i renamed the music folder in the game directory to anything but music and now my game will fully load the only thing now is i dont have menu music but the game runs fine apart from that, hopefully this will work for some of you too.
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Madden NFL 06\Music
rename it to something like this
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Madden NFL 06\WORK

thanks DrBeerMan, worked like a charm after renaming MUSIC folder.
Looks like they haven't worked out the kinks yet... I can't even use my mouse to select menu options... to move the mouse cursor, I have to keep clicking while moving... ridiculous.

edgerate, try going in to settings for the game, settings/systemsettings/video and setting limitmenu speed to yes.
Also while your at it settings/systemsettings/Audio change the audio path to a folder that you have your mp3's in.
found out the problem.. I madden had a problem with my mp3 codecs so i had to rename the music folder.. runs fine now.Originally Posted by pimo1
