Yes I can see the link and the "this week" but I can't actually see what the test was.

If it was, how fast can you get round that circuit, then I have to agree. Car > Bike.

well i think that's all it is. unfortunately there's nothing to say how they handle differently through the corners

Well let's be honest, there really aren't that many to speak of on that circuit.

The vast majority of it is straight, or as near it as makes no difference.

It's a time trial track, not a driving track.

One reason behind traction control is because cars can't handle corners properly.

And as for road contact... bs it doesn't matter how much road "contact" you have, in fact in a car its negative to control.

Google newtons law, the GSCE level should just about explain it.
You can't corner without grip, you muppet, and a car clearly has more grip than a bike, because it has more wheels...

It's bleeding obvious. Newton's laws of motion don't come into it, unless you are trying to corner a hovercraft...

Perhaps it's that you can slow down/speed up faster on a bike than you can in the average car that gives the illusion that you can corner better. Dunno, never really thought about it. Having ridden a bike for a while in my younger years, I can say that they are fun though.

When I was younger, I much preferred sport bikes - sheer speed - if I were ever to get another one now, I'd probably be more inclined to look at a Harley or Indian (if I could ever afford either) for comfort's sake and style. Although my friend Irene just got a YZF 750 and I was drooling over it when she popped in the other day.

Exactly, bikes make up the ground when it calls for quick acceleration, cars make up ground when cornering. Bikes look more dramatic going thro' corners and look as if they are going faster. They must feel as tho' they are going a hell of a lot faster as well.

Bikes feel faster than cars anyway, whether cornering, or straight lines.

I want a blade now........or an exup, oh man they were cool
