    get this one if u actually wanna help out ur friend and get him a decent pc. For 400 bucks, this is one cheap and decent motherfecker: amd athlon 64 3700+, 1 gig ram, with mouse/keyboard/case/power supply. Pretty sweet
    Those are Barebone kits. They aren't complete computers.

    ah, so they are. Have you maybe thought of just buying the parts the barebones kits don't include? Say it's missing a mouse, then perhaps just buy a mouse along with it?

    lol windows bowling, in that case get him the cheap ass barebone and rip him off. I bet u could throw in couple hundred more megs of RAM and say the comp's worth like 400. He won't know.
