DV Camcorder to DVD

I am trying to get my DV video from my Camcorder to a DVD I have captured the DV
using Nero video capture. I then ran the DV.AVI file through WINAVI to convert it to
DVD files. then I burned it with Nero. I put it in my DVD player and the picture and sound was very broken and jumpy. I tried two different DVD players one of witch was
brand-new. I then took the DVD files and ran them through DVD shrink everything went find until I again tried to play the newly burned DVD, it did the same thing.
I have tried burning AVI files to CD and DVD and playing them on my DVD player that also plays DIVX files and they work great. Maybe I need to make an .iso file with DVD shrink and then burn it.

Can anyone help?

your best bet is to look at the guides on dvdrhelp.com (aka videohelp.com) - i cant remember the ones i used, but there is a plethora of information on that site
