A NZB file is an information file about where articles that make up a file are located on Usenet. Similar in function that a torrent file is to BitTorrent.
The NZB file gets loaded into a Usenet client (news reader) such as Grabit. Then the client seeks out the articles on Usenet with the information provided in the NZB file.
