I downloaded 2.0 from both Majorgeeks and ftp.mozilla.org and the files aren't exactly the same.

filesizes differ by a few KBs and the digital signature differs by 1 second.

Linking directly to builds hinders our ability to remove/retract bits that we may have to remove for some reason

It says in the article its not uncommon for bits to be added and removed at the last minute. These builds may not actually be the official 2.0 release that is out in a few hours.

you might get differences in file sizes as there are various builds for different langauges. i know the one posted to slashdot that has been removed now was the en-gb version rather than the en-us version thats probably on majorgeeks.

i installed 2.0 last night on my mac and it has been working just fine, no disruptions, or clashes with any add-ons, i don't use many though, and at last i finally got java and quicktime working properly so i'm completely happy with the build i got

Both files that we originally had were the final.

The one from Mojorgeeks was the US English release.
The ftp link was GB English release.

Now you can get them directly from mozilla.com

Ah crap I did n't see this thread I posted in News . I just installed it seems quite fast , all my extensions work but Faster Fox . First thing you 'll do is change the theme its brutal , I just installed right over 1.05 no problem there.

Started up this morning and all the extensions that were disabled had been updated and ready to install. God I love Mozilla.
