There was a thread recently about why you need anything other than TL. For me, I think that the more exclusive trackers consist of better people. People that have good ratios, don't hit and run, and are all around more respectful. Plus, better pre times and faster speeds. Everything together just makes the tracker better and more cohesive, not like a huge tracker such as TL.

And there's always that feeling of superiority if you're in exclusive trackers.

But if we're in a community, shouldn't we try to help as many people as we can? Shouldn't we stream to a community without classes? Isn't that the best way to create a society in which everyone benefits? Look at how well Russia did...heh...

Seriously though, there is a threshold that you pass at a certain point at which the pre-time and d/l speed differences are insignificant. Especially when you can reach your max bandwidth on less private trackers like TL. Plus, it is much easier to seed on larger trackers.

Actually, I used to think that way too. But really, what makes a 0day tracker special, the difference between a tracker like torrentleech and one like ftn/sct, is the exclusive releases, such as a trilogy pack, the community and of course pre-times.

Back on topic: My favorites are:

    0-day: torrentbytes and iplay
    Music: oink
    HD: hdbits
    TV: bitmetv
    E-learning: bitme
    DVD: pisexy
    Asian: asiandvdclub
    Obscure: KG
    x264: x264
    Anime: boxtorrents
    Audio Soft: audionews
    Graphics Soft: gfxnews
    Games: blackcats and underground-gamer

I think a community atmosphere is important. To me, a good tracker shouldn't just be grab as much as you can download and seed, it should have that community feel (hard to explain). Big trackers like TL and Demonoid don't have that at all, and to an extent many other smaller but still large by FTN standards don't either. Like I said before, the combination of these things make the exclusive trackers better.

Aren't most of these top tier trackers are private? That would force you to contribute, which on turn keeps them alive right???
