when your on Pc Pitstop test your internet connection dl speed and scroll down to the bottom and it will show u tips to improve internet speed check out this section

thanks for ur tip. before i test my speed before and it was at 259.17 kbs. after it was 320.34 kps i couldnt beleive it so i tested it again and it was at 312.34 kps. thank a lot for the tip. unfortunately kazaa is still slow.

P.S. i tested those speed w/ kazaa running and bittorrent runnign at once.

@kazaaliterock......Test them at differnt times also without zonealarm on if it is running and without KL and Bitt on.

It will speed up in general most web activities.......

Cant find the registry entry, whats exact so I can add it?

My speed is now...

1 megabits per second

Storage is.....126.9 kilobytes per second

and it would take 8.1 seconds to download a 1 MB File

and it says my speed is Fanastic

Bleh. I think I'll just go with the app, because there's no key even resembling "TCP Receive Window" in that location...

[edit]: Woooow... After downloading and running TCP Optimizer, and setting the receive window to the value provided here, my speed jumped from roughly 220kB/s to around 280kB/s. I'm impressed.

I did notice that TCP Optimizer had different "profiles". The one for Cable/DSL sets the receive window to a much larger value. Would that improve speed any more, or is it just overkill?

Now my speed is just a little over T1....

And the time it takes to download a 1 MB file is 5 seconds

Tried PCpitstop test but adwatch did'nt allow it to download, is it advisable to disable adwatch if so what will I find on my hard drive ?. Advice would be welcome.
