Thread: Playback Shakes - Why?

  1. #1
    Hello there,

I'm new and for those who are regulars on this forum, It must be annoying to see repeated questions. I saw this post a while ago but cant remember where i saw it. I have given up searching. The question is...when i play back a video, why does the screen shake? When downloading and using AVI preview, this did not happen. Does this mean I downloaded a bad copy or is it because I used Windows Media Player to watch? Do I need any extra codecs?

    Thanks in advance

yeah i get shaky video files but only when im watching porn

i would try bsplayer and zoom and see what happens there.

might be a cam jobie so it shakes occasionally or just a good old fashioned codec problem.

I had this same problem with an Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode I downloaded. Turned out to be the XviD codec in the K-Lite codec pack that was causing it. Maybe incompatibilities with videos encoded with previous versions of the codec, or maybe the one included in the pack is utter crap. I don't know...

Anyway, I downloaded and installed XviD.Root.24.02.2003.1100.exe from this site and the shakes went away.

Do you have Media Player 9? I do, and everything I try to play in there shakes. I use Winamp and it works fine.
