U can get alot of easy sulution and all in one prog..but if u want to produce the best rips poss..use gordian knots at doom9.org.

The res depends on the size of the rip ur makin, if ur makin a 700mb rip its best not to hav a high res and have more bitrate..other wise u c alot of artifacts
