Oh yeah, and thanks MetroStars for backing me up on Mothman. I think the parts that have had the longest lasting scare effects on me are the momentary glimpses of Mothman that you see in reflective objects in the movie. They are so fast they are almost subliminal, infact I'm sure I missed a bunch earlier in the movie when I wasn't looking for them. They are so fleeting that it will have you second guessing for a few days when you look in the mirror and think you see something. Yeah the movie isn't very blunt with it's scares but it sure gets your imaginaton worked up. And then the fact that it is based on real events as a whole new dimension. No, I do not believe in the Mothman, but a lot of real people did claim to see it. And there was a tragedy in Point Pleasant that claimed nearly 50 lives. So unlike other horror movies, even the best ones, you can't just walk away from this one saying "Oh, it was only a movie."
