    oups sorry ,

    thanks,
i think i started to answer it,

maybe you can find people talking about loseless, but i guess a lot of people has never heard about it,
then it's not as popular as you say,
try asking around you, you'll be surprised

A second reason is it's not so convenient for common user,

Imagine, you use a search engine, you want a dvd, you'll obtain,
an disc image or separate files,
    quite easy to burn,

second example, you want a CD,you 'll obtain loseless files, you'll have to find the decoder, to decompress it, then you'll be able to burn it,

for someone who doesn't want to make a lot of effort (having an account, maintain a ratio), it becomes quite boring

I've never seen scene lossless. I meant the other trackers are mainly just scene mp3 releases while oink has everything. People who care that much about music quality to want lossless know better than to go hunting for it on public sites.

btmusic.eu and E**** are trackers specialised in FLAC

I haven't suggested it because I thought either I was dreaming or somebody would think of it, discussing the topic. I beleive e-mails should be sent out asking for the lossless music subcategory to be created - Mininova, IsoHunt, all of the kind could well have it. Soon enough uploaders and downloaders of lossless music content should pay special attention to that, making more serious use of public sites.

All about the protocol, more particularly the method of pieces arrangement in the Torrent files guarantees the content can't be altered. So when the tracker is (say) eTree, chances of ripping errors are the same whether the public or the private site hosts the Torrent. The majority of the lossless content in the public sites is ok as far as I can tell.

What do the private groups protect mostly? The share ratio! Has anybody thought quality was it?

oink has very high quality standards and an easy to keep minimum ratio.

    one word about lossless:

people don't hear the difference between v0 and flac in a double blind test. has been proven lots of times.
