If you want it to be an elite community, you should start with invites. That way, you can eliminate most of the traders who may try to get an account during the open signups. I wish you all the best about your tracker.

hmm..i am definitely looking forward to it, even though i dont know ekk personally or through anything.
to me, you should open signups for like 500-700 ppl and then make the site invite only. taht way, you can also review your signed up members and give invites to the rusted members that signed up.

too many excellent 0-day trackers out there, it's going to be very difficult to compete with them...why not make a specialized.
