Thread: How much did you DL when you first started using newsgroups?

  1. #31
Well apparently too much for comcast since they shut off my internet.

I called them and they turned it back on but warned if i keep using excessive bandwidth I will be banned for a year!

Although its not all from newsgroups, I seed almost 24/7.

Upload cost the companies more than download.
That's probably what's pissing them off.

I stated using newsgroups about 3 days ago and am never going back to bittorrent, unless i can't find something on newsgroups. According to powerusenet.com, i've downloaded 116GB in 2.6 days. By this rate im gonna need a couple more hard drives.

    Amen to that brother.

Oh yes... Not to mention the safety issues that come with it compared to P2P

Only worry after your provider sends you a "warning" letter in the mail or email. Until then, hog up as much free bandwidth as possible.

Use both Usenet first if not then yes BT. I really feel you need to give usenet a chance get to understand but end of day whatever works for you. Good luck, as stated earlier I use about 30 gig per month on usenet man that would take me like 3 months on BT...lol... Well actually that is about as anal as me saying as you said I gave up after 1 gig.... Both systems are good choose wisely.

Way to much to count, but I do know it was 12 360 games, 8 Wii games, and 10 or so PS2 games. I can't count how many movies and PSP/DS games I got. At least 500gb in the first month. Nice to have a 20/5 connection at home.
