how do you know? have you seen his dvd player?
hehe very funny. My dvd player is dual laser it plays still jpegs, kodak picture cds, dvds, vcd, ect...
but the question is.....how many people have dual laser dvd players? As time goes by, more and more but let's see if anyone else responds as having a dvd player that plays mpegs but not divx. This thread was referring to dvd player not divx/dvd player.

the MK 4000 is going for approx $200 USD. it uses the Sigma decoder chip, which i think is the same one they use in the KISS mpeg 4 players.

as time goes by, i'm sure actually FEWER people will start threads like this, because mpeg 4 will become more common on dvd players and people won't have to worry about not being able to play AVIs on them.

3RA1N1AC he was asking how to burn a movie so it can play on a DVD machine. Many people, including myself have a cd-r/rw burner but not a dvd burner. In order to burn an avi to cd-r/rw that is encoded with divx or any other mpeg4 variant you have to convert to svcd/vcd standard. I was guessing he didn't have a dvd burner, maybe he does. Oh, and I'll try to stay out of your way.
