i mean all major tracker give weekly, monthly, yearly and occasionally gifts to their community, they give FL, Upload credit and double upload, Bonus system, request system and lot more but so far if memory serves i only saw TL giving a FL in one occasion and that was it.

SCT and TB only give FL and DU occasionally.

At the risk of stating the obvious and covering old ground...

TL and ScT are pay2leech trackers, regular free leech would cut into their profits.

As for TB, it's not a matter of them only doing it occasionally, it's that they didn't do it at all on principle. Until recently. Now though packs are free leech 365 days a year and they've just had a month of free leech in december followed by double upload this month.

You can't give me an real answer can you? I havn't done it, won't do it. Only asking why they feel like that and if anyone had any input on it.

But you clearly fail, beacuse 95% of torrent trackers packs are STOLEN from other pirates.

I agree with DKre8ive1 about the own site doing rips. Like groupbuys and similiar.

So far the have given idlers in their IRC channel without accounts an account.
I don't know if they're planning on doing something for the people that already were on the tracker.

But I think it were a very nice gesture from their side.

Suppose you could put BCG into that bracket as well, even though we do have the SP system.

But we will never have free leech, i have even asked the other staff and uploaders if they would want it and the resounding response was no freaking way, and tbh i am glad as i do not agree with the principle of it either.

We have torrents that are still alive that have been on the tracker for 1 year + i even recycled (boosted old torrents back to the top of browse page) an XBOX FTP program that was 2meg which had 7 seeders after 1 year on the tracker.

I would rather have a one stop shop of everything you need in one place, than torrents being uploaded 1 minute after pre and dieing out within 3 months.

On the subject of stealing packs/torrents, i will make this short and sweet as i have said my views in another thread somewhere.

Once an uploader has uploaded it, and once a leecher has snatched it, the uploader/tracker cant do nothing about it, and shouldnt do anything about it, its up to the leecher to do with as he pleases imho

to me its all about sharing whats out there, so if an uploader rips something himself and uploads it on my tracker then he finds it on another tracker he should be chuffed, not pissed off as after all someone thought it was good enough to share somewhere else. and if they do not give credit to the uploader/tracker where they got it from originally, who the hell cares, as long as the item is being shared by as many people as possible, thats all that matters to me.

Besides, if something works fine, why do you have to fix it?.
And TL works like a swiss clock, no bonus, no gifts, no nothing... but it´s the tracker where I can keep my ratio healthy with no effort. I don´t care what I download, I´m sure there always will be somebody leeching.

any time wondered TL without its members or few members would it still be called top 4 trackers? so stop saying they dont owe us anything, they owe us a little appreciation just like how we appreciate them by investing our time/BW in TL. all i say we should have equal appreciation towards us, without us Tl is nothing and we are one great tracker short without it.
keeping a good ratio, torrent life and amount of torrents at TL is only because of large user database and nothing else which in its place helps the revenue income for them.

just check out old torrents. tl has lots of seeds in old torrents.
if tl starts those "fl, 2*, bonus", user's buffer will increase, and the seeders will disappear very soon.

i have 900Gb buffered account at TL i wouldn't want anymore but for sack of struggling members they can occasionally give a FL. i dont believe that making a buffered will result in less seed activity, if a person truly admires a tracker making a buffer will make him do anything but stop making more buffer, buffering is like addiction to me(more like pringles), it makes me seed more and more.

@Actatoi imagine there are 10 trackers. they make their own packs. then comes No.11 tracker, it does nothing but steal No.1--No.10's packs. ok, now of course No.11 tracker is the best, because it has 10 different packs (although it did nothing).

of course, you could share any packs from any trackers with your family & friends. but you should not use others hardwork to benefit your own tracker!

some may say trackers steal from ftp topsites. but remember those are 2 different kind of playgrounds. and ppl even pay for ftp, if they pay for something, why the hell need to give damn credit.

anyway, at last, why the hell you just donot say trackers steal from artist, programmer & directer?!!!

not everyone is good user like you. if they get ok ratio (usual 0.9, normal user donot expect too much), they will stop seeding. (they will think in this way -- why i need to seed when i am asleep/ have breakfast/ play basketball )

tl has the best condition in old torrents. i think it is because of:
1. no fl.2*.bonus........ (maze has bonus, tti has bonus, check their old torrents)
2. tl has great content, ppl need to seed in order to get buffer for the future-dl.

I have files from TL still seeding from last June and August! Files there last forever and at least for the most part two or more people are leeching from me everyday. TL doesn't need to change, its fine as is.

To be fair that doesn't look to be one of their uploaders, it looks like someone offered that torrent and it got accepted. I forget how their offer system works.
