would be nice if we could skin the entire board for ourselves like that.
is there a vb tweak like that?

Don't believe so, but you could use the FF extension called Greasemonkey to create a browser script.

I've never tried it though, so I'm not sure what the difficulty level would be.

you will find it under "customize your profile "

at " primary content areas "

there is a tab named "background image "
pick an image from your album and put its url in the tab and click "save changes"
