wots the spec of ya pc? i wouldnt worry bout drivers etc if you got hardware that not xp compatible try win2000 drivers, they work most of time, also as said before a clean install and format (not quick format) to ntfs and you should be fine. get rid of ya pc guy he taking the piss and trying to take ya cash to!

How big is your hard drive?
As a guide: Use FAT32 if your hard drive is smaller than 32GB, or if you want to install more than one OS (Operating System) on your computer. Use NTFS if you have a hard drive that is larger than 32GB and you are going to run only one OS (Operating System).
