does anyone have a T1
then shut up
thats 1.544 Mbps (1544 Kbps)
Noone's connection actually gets their full bandwidth. Current protocols for DSL and cable are too inefficient.
actually, 1.544 Mbps is 1581.06 Kbps or 197.63 KBps. i have 1.5 Mbps (192 KBps) DSL that can (and does) reach its max speed quite often. basically, you dont need a T1 connection to get the speeds that you're talking about here . so shut up.

My service is being upgraded on the august sixth.

Ameritech is offering a deal through Yahoo for DSL for $29.99/month for the first twelve months. Depending upon what other packages you have through them (phone, long distance, cellular, etc...) you can roll-over that $29.99 price and make it permanent.

So for the same price I am paying now, I am upgrading to a 1.5mbps connection speed. Question however: right now my package says that I have or am using five "static IP's". My new package says that I will have one "dynamic IP".

What is the difference or what are they talking about static vs dymanic?

1.544 Mbps is NOT 1581.06 Kbps. Do the math.
and...........I never said you HAVE to have a T1 to get those speeds.
You can get an FNS line which is a 10.1 megabit circuit or get DSL yes DSL
for an astounding 7.1 megabits!!!
so go back to algerbra class and also

shut up!!
