why would it be any different than if it was internal. its the exact same hdd.

I have also tried to seed many times from my 3 Seagates and there has never been any problems.

I blew a external HDD by torrenting 24/7 with it, I don't recommend it. If you do get one I would rip it out of the enclosure and make it run internal with your PC's power supply.

some external hdd are better at taking the heat for being left on for a long time. i have two WD externals, different models, and one gets hotter than the other when in use. it actually shut off once. i'd recommend internal hard drives.
