I can't say for sure but I think a Pentium in the 200 - 300 Mhz area with 64 MB of RAM (128 MB is definetly better). Oh, and a fast hard drive with 7200 RPM does help too but it's not that important.Originally posted by aintgottime@14 September 2003 - 12:00

Also depends on the OS. If you have a stripped down Win98 box (using 98lite) and all the codecs installed it should work alright. WinXP needs more RAM than Win98 but I don't know if that would run on an old Pentium.
Choosing a player that doesn't use alot of resources also helps quite a bit! Like BSplayer or Media Player Classic.
I have a Pentium III 450 Mhz with 256 MB RAM and a 120 GB drive filled with Divx movies and no problems seeing them.
