    Yes, while you're uploading to fast connections, your connection will be slowed if upload bandwidth is set to "unlimited".

    decided to go for the dsl with the cap eh? smart man. sure you'll only be allowed so much but it's more than you can dl on 56k.
    missed that post till now no I manged to get anothe rISP however still a cap but unlimited uploads however I get shaped to 72k if I go over 5 gig for the month

    Actually, re-run KL++'s configuration tool and set your connection to the fast cablemodem setting that puts upload bandwidth to 28 KB/sec (that's 224 kilobits/sec.)
