Clonecd is not compatible with a lot of CD burners (all HP's and some more.) I do not know what the problem that you had was, or what caused it but this was just something i threw out there.
Checked the release notes in the help file, there is a list there to see if your drive is compatible.

yep clone cd is the easyest, 1 button deal, whit blind wright you need to play around
might have to upgread firmware on your cdr
really look into blind write thoe
more options, and copys the copy prection
for everthing else I use nero as its the best overall burning app

use alcohol 120% makes a virtual cd so you don´t have to burn the iso or bin´s anymore Just install from the virtual cd.
Nero is ok but Alcohol120% is far superior.
