Use Bitkinex. it can split a single file upto 50 parts. It maxes out even 20mbit connections ..

I'm trying Bitkinex. It looks good.

    Thanks

Hmm.. I'll give Bitkinex a try. I've been using CuteFTP Pro for my multi download needs, but it only maxes out at 8, which is enough for my 20mbit connection.

But to answer the OP's question... you can max out your home connection via FTP by using multi thread connections, multi download, multi connect, etc (every program has a different way of saying it)

So, don't let that deter you from getting a box from EU. It will be cheaper than a GOOD US box.

I have a shared box in EU from an OVH reseller. But it only allows 10 FTP connections and that isn't enough to max out my 200 KB/s connection.

I get 200KB/sec from one connection from my OVH. What software are you using?

Perhaps your box doesn't have as many users as mine. I get better FTP speed from the box in the evening but it is bad during the day.

I have used FileZilla, GetRight and Bitkinex.

A shared box kills FTP speeds, I had an Kimfufi(OVH) L server all to my self and I could almost max out my 8mbit home connection, but now with a shared OVH box between 5 users I am lucky to see 400kb/s, but usually it runs around 200kb/s or so.

    This is all using CuteFTP

Even with a Kimsufi L you could only barely max out your 8mbit connection? Ouch.

It must be a setting because all of me EU servers, I can max out my 20mbit download. I use Filezilla Server on my boxes, FYI.
