    I saw an advert this year from pricewater house holding a conference on Linux as viable business alternative to windows, nice thought, doesn't seem like that had much success though

    Usually big compagnies use macintosh hardware & software. Those are expensive like hell, but have the reputation to have a good customer service, which is very important as some compagnies can't allow themselves to wait for repair.
