On most of the new cases of any quality they have the mobo tray cut out behind the CPU so you can change the CPU cooler of choice without having to remove the whole Mobo bud.

I use these DEMCiflex filters. They work great. I rinse em off once a week and love them. They're magnetic so there's no issue installing unless you have an aluminum case, even then they come with a mounting option I think it's a magnetic sticker so they will adhere to the case.
