Thread: Microsoft Office 2010 Academic - any disadvantages

  1. #1
    Hi Guys
I want to get a legal version of Office 2010 professional.
There is no way I can afford the full retail.
But the Academic one is affordable.

I have a friend who is a teacher who could get one for me.

Is there any disadvantage to me getting Academic or any legal reasons why I should not.

I need the professional version to get Access and Publisher.
What color is your Adkaf ?

Well it wouldn't be legal (against EULA) for you to use an academic license if you aren't a student but it's definitely better (and more reliable) than having a cracked version... They don't have any way to know either.

I must agree with you that Office licensing is really overpriced. It's not like it's a niche product, they probably SELL millions of licenses so probably could bring the consumer price down a bit!
